Sticky Fingers Gallery: Beauty

That ever so clever Tara over at Sticky Fingers has had a fantastic idea that really appeals to me.

"Every week I will give you a prompt, an idea, a notion and you go out and take a photograph using that prompt. Or just use a photo you already have.

The prompt could be one word, an object, an idea, a phrase, anything, and you have to post a picture which you feel represents that prompt.
Post it on your blog and write about it."

This weeks theme is beauty. Here's my entry:

I've chosen it because of the light, the colours and the way that, on a dank and depressing, drizzly March day it is making me feel golden.

This was taken last November in the midst of one of the most beautiful Autumns I can remember. We were walking in Zlaca, an area about 45 minutes outside of Tuzla (near Banovici). There was noone else there, we picnicked, the dog swam, we climbed hills, we enjoyed the clear skies and golden colours. It was a beautiful day.

Gorgeous. For me the beauty in these photos are sometimes the words and the memories behind them.
Thanks so much for taking part x

It looks like a warm autumn day--and your description sounds simply wonderful. I think my favourite kind of day is a warm autumn day, the sweet scent of the changing leaves, the warmth in the air cut with just a faint hint of cool in the breeze, and the genuine pleasure of everyone enjoying the last of the warm days before the grey winter all make for beautiful days!

That is one beautiful photograph. After Spring, Autumn is definitely my favourite season. The way you have captured the sky coming through is just gorgeous.

I love standing under trees and taking pictures - but they never come out as well as this.
So warm and sunshiney. Love it :)

Beautiful photo. I love Autumn too...the riot of colors, the crispness in the air, the quickening of the pace of life after a hot summer. It reminds me of freshly sharpened pencils and brand new school shoes.

Just gorgeous. Are you sure you want to go back to the UK?

NV Housewife - love that you and Nappy Valley Girl are sort of mirror images of each other. I love autumn too, the colours are just my favourite.

Iota - the colours always do it for me. I'd love to go to New England one year!

Potty Mummy - YES! That was in autumn. Now it is all grey and cold and miserable and I'm imagining a beautiful English summer. The dream will be cruelly shattered the minute we arrive back but at least there will be some playgrounds to go to!
