Week Four of the
Sticky Finger's Gallery. This week's prompt was 'Me'. This one was always going to be difficult, as I have a general rule of not publishing recognisable photos of us. Anyhow, a bit of a search through the old archives (well the archives that I have with me in BiH) came up with a few contenders. I like this one. I like the thought of my life being all calmness, having acres of time to teach a small boy about seaweed and broken shells.
The reality of my life is not so much like that. It's more like this.
This photo is a few years old now. The boys are a lot bigger. They still climb all over me on a regular basis.

lol - somehow two littlies always manage to do 10 times the climbing of one! Two very different representations of motherhood there - just lovely.
Great pics and words - and two completely different moods conveyed as well - fab! Caroline x
Awww, both lovely pictures
Awww, both lovely pictures.
gorgeous!!!!
Oh that made me smile, as most of my photos show the boys roughousing with either me or MadDad. Another boy thing!
You've made me smile! Thank you.
Aren't boys brilliant?!
I think the one of the kids all over you is brilliant!!
PILE UP!
Oh I'm glad I only have one - bad enough when he uses me as a climbing frame!
Great pictures :)
Aww! Lovely photos.
I love a good bundle! Looks like lots of fun
MD xx
Bundles are the things little ones remember most when they are grown. Lovely photos
A great pic - a true mummy moment. xx
I love the rolling around on the grass photo - I was thinking about using a similar one of me and my daughter when I saw yours! Rolling around on the grass (when the weather's good enough) - brilliant!
These are lovely pics... LOL at the thought of calm and serenity! x
All pile on! I think this is a definite boy trait. I was always surprised by my nephew's desire to wrestle anyone & everything. My own son even at 10 months is looking like a great contender for WWF (and I don't mean the World Wildlife Fund).
Aw...great pics!
Kids just love a bundle don't they! Mine still do and they're 10 and 12
The second photo just sums up motherhood as a whole doesnt it! And what a fun mum you look like :D
Those are brilliant and so true!! Well done!
I love that you found time to teach about seaweed and broken shells.
Such a sense of calm compared to the movement in the second shot.
Lovely.
AWWW. They are so cute and clearly fully paid up members of the 'mummy is a piece of furniture/play equipment' school of boydom.
Oh such cute photos, looks like you guys are having tons of fun x
Love them both!
Both ways of life look great! The first looks really peaceful and the second looks like brilliant fun.
Lovely pics. Nothing like having your kids jumping all over you!
lovely photos - I love the second one. It's a very happy picture :)
I've always loved the one of the boys crawling all over you. V cute. Safe journeys and all that.
Thanks everyone for your comments. I prefer the second picture too - it is FAR more representative of mty life, although I do hanker after the calm of the first...
Ah, I think all the mucking about and rolling around and play wrestling is one of the best bits. My kids love it too.
There's a tag for you over at mine if you're interested, but I appreciate you've got this huge move coming up and may be too busy. It can always keep. xxx
Gappy - thanks for the tag! Obviously I am hugely busy and doing my best to ignore how much I have to do. A tag is the ideal packing avoidance. I'll pop right over.
Those are really lovely and say so much about you all. I always remember loving piling on my dad. Now my girls do it to both of us and it's hilarious. The quiet time with the seaweed is fab too. I love seeing the world through their eyes. Everything is so much more interesting. :D
Those are lovely
great contrasts of what is clearly a great life. good luck with the move. x
Great photos, lovely post :D
I love the Gallery :D
wo completely different moods conveyed as well - fab! Caroline
