Geographical conundrum

Putting Adam to bed last night:

A - Mummy, I love you all the way to the bus station

Me - well, I love you all the way to the nursery

A - I love you all the way to Zvornik

Me - I love you all the way to Sarajevo (this went on for a while with any number of Bosnian towns being mentioned, Mostar, Travnik, Zenica and Doboj all making an appearance)

A - I love you all the way to London

Me - I love you all the way to the Isle of Wight

A - I love you all the way to America

Me - I love you all the way to New York

A - I love you all the way to Oogy Doogy (think this might be an attempt to say Ougadougo, the capital of Burkina Faso which I had thrown in on a previous evening).

Me - I love you all the way to Timbuktu (oh four year old, I have a degree in Geography, I can keep this game going on for ever!)

A - I love you all the way to Timbucthree.

Blown out of the water by the logic of a four year old.

(with a huge acknowledgement to Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney for this game)

Clearly your Adam and my Molly-Mae are related she said the same thing when I said about Timbuktu but she asked where Timbukthree was. It has to be that 4 year old train of thought.

whatshappening - glad to make you smile. It made me smile too.

MGM - I know! Curses.

WoB - If you have a mother who has a slight (oh well enormous) love of maps (we have several on the walls), he was never going to escape.

RM - yes! And he can join his mother in a love of cords...

SC - thanks!

Mud - It was the sweetest thing that happened all day. Bless him.

TM - Did you like the Burkino Faso reference?

2&2&2 - You have to love four year olds. They have their own, unique, take on things that you can't beat.

Oh that made me laugh. Kids say the funniest things don't they? This is one of the reasons I cannot wait to be a Mum (although I will have to teach him to speak first!)

Hiya, I need your email to add you to the list. Think I may have deleted it by mistake. And yes, anything at all you can think of would be a great help. MP's, blogs, just anything at this stage.

Thanks for your support
xx

DF - it is great, you'll love it. They'll charm the socks of you.

YM - you should have it now, not sure how I've managed to erase it from my blog...

MM - a fan of the book!
