O.K. I'm presuming that has something to do with pooper scooping? I can think of all manner of comedy interpretations of that picture, but this is a family show right?
VBC - it is the first time I've seen one in Bosnia. We pick up poo, but then can't find any bins to put it in for hours.
NVG - almost!
Lady Mama - the problem round here is that there are so many strays, it wouldn't make that much different if every dog owner did pick up. And then there is the broken glass syndrome too. They have a way to go in cleaning up the city, they really do.
another one of the joys of living in the countryside - we dont just have dog poo but reindeer, horse and all manner of other creatures - you don't seem to notice so much though away from the pavements and roads of a town.
Why is that man using a pair of scales to find out if his dog is heavier than that rock? It's obvious it is. And why is he on a sign? Aren't you allowed to use those scales in that place?

We need some of those signs in our village too, although it would be better if people didn't just let their dogs wander about on their own.
ReplyDeleteThey go from one extreme to another, they either enclosed them on a tiny balcony all day or let them wander like strays..... Grr!
Can I read the word poupou on that sign?
ReplyDeleteLove it....
I can't believe people wouldn't. So yucky.
ReplyDeleteWe need one for outside the school. It is awful
ReplyDeleteGappy - keep it clean... pavement and all. x

MH - there is no excuse for that. None at all.

ReplyDeleteHeather - you notice it here!
ReplyDeleteIota - don't you weigh all your dog poo too? How are you to know whether they've produced the right amount or not?
I don't speak Bosnian, but it's pretty clear that it means "clean up after your pet, you lazy jerks." Am I right?
ReplyDeleteI suspect the semiology of public signing in Banja Luka is worthy of a full-blown research project.
ReplyDeleteLynn - something like that.
ReplyDeleteOwen - I love that idea.
